New Family Member

Well, maybe not new but newer.

This is an Obitsu 45cm female doll with the "Laura" head. I call her Generic 90s Shōjo Anime Protagonist. 😆

Here she is with her big brother, Generic 90s Uke who is also an Obitsu doll.

Together, they are the Generic Anime family! 😂

Blythe Life

I love Blythe! They're cute and stylish and great at creeping people out. Here's some pictures of my dearly departed collection.

 

Oh, my beautiful balding Mondrian. She was a grail of mine for quite some time. I called her "Mondy" which seemed to suit her just fine. I love the "boggled" eyes on the first run of Takara Blythes...

 

Next in line is Disco Boogie, an EBL (Excellent Blythe). These gals are known for their thin delicate eyelashes. Boogie here had a rat's nest for hair, and I never got around to taming it...

 

Ah yes. My most beloved Pow Wow Poncho. She's an SBL (Superior Blythe) which are most famous for their yellowed eyes and "smirking" mouth. Not very popular but I adore them! 

Pow Wow here is the only Blythe I've owned two of. She is my absolute favorite! Luckily, she and her SBL sisters are relatively cheap so maybe someday...

Meet Suri Sustainable! She's the baby of the bunch, having been released in 2022/2023 (either or...). Her hair is actually a lovely mahogany shade that doesn't photograph well. She's a RBL (Radiant Blythe) Evolution, the latest model at the time.

Her hair texture is infamous for being unmanageable but I didn't mind.

And then finally, rounding out the crew, was my lovely ADG Blythe Reproduction Flower Power. She was... a project. Nasty hair, spots and stains, sticking (unable to change well) eyes... She was my fixer-upper.

My Miniature Equines

I have a collection of My Little Pony, uh, ponies too. They're mostly G1 but with a few G3 (not pictured in group) and some G4. I really enjoy rehabbing and revitalizing these old toys. Rerooting ponies is oddly meditative...

The Unstrung Heroes

I've developed a real fondness for Paola Reina dolls recently. I think it's their cute faces and their wonderful smell! I currently have two Las Amigas and have another Las Amiga (from the collection of the esteemed Emily of Toybox Philosopher) and a Mini Amiga on the way.

This is Theodora. (She's since been dusted!)

This is Marigold. Her eyes are a little wonky but she's still super cute!

I also had a Monster High collection but that got too out of control. Now I just have my beloved Bonita Femur as seen in my intro post.

Bonita is the first MH ghoul I really connected with.

Then comes my dearly departed Blythe dolls. I had a small set of Takara Neo Blythes and now have two Petite Blythes incoming.

Pow Wow Poncho, my favorite of them all!

Finally, I have an eclectic mix of various play dolls and figurines. My biggest non-doll collection is definitely my My Little Pony group but that will be another post!

Hello there, everyone out there in blogging land! I'm Pretzel. I mostly collect BJDs and other Asian dolls but have been known to dabble in European and American produced ones too!

I hope to have a list of my dolls up soon, as well as my first few posts.
